Prepare deletion requestDelete inside the app
Open Komap → Profile → Delete account and data. Read the warning and confirm. Connected Apple accounts may require confirmation of the same Apple identity so authorisation can be revoked. If the request fails, check your connection or use the email request below; do not assume an error completed deletion.
Request deletion without the app
Email hello@soara.ai with the subject “Delete my Komap account”. Send from your registered email where possible and include your Kover @handle and whether you signed in with email, Apple or Google. If you used Apple Hide My Email, include the relay address if known. Guests can describe the account details they still have; identifying a lost guest account may be difficult. You do not need to reinstall the app to make this request.
Ownership verification and timing
We verify account ownership before deleting or disclosing information. Never send passwords, recovery codes, app passwords, payment details or copies of identity documents unless a separately explained, proportionate verification process requires them. A successful in-app deletion removes active records in that request. We normally aim to complete verified email requests within 30 days and explain any lawful delay. Sending an email draft is not confirmation that deletion is complete.
What is removed
Active account/profile data, saved places, trip records, selected account-owned reports and media, Ko-munity posts/replies and memberships, discussions, rewards and community presence are removed. Groups owned by the account and their conversations are removed; other users’ independent contributions can remain. Signed-in access and recovery credentials for the deleted account stop working.
What can remain
Automated database backups retain seven daily backups and seven days of point-in-time recovery logs. Separate restricted recovery/migration snapshots may remain until retired; not every backup is erased immediately. Records required by law may be retained for the necessary purpose and period. Ask hello@soara.ai about a specific request or retention concern.
Vehicles, payments and alternatives
Deletion can remove access to your account’s claims, rewards and entitlements. Komap currently has no active paid vehicle checkout or subscriptions. If store-managed purchases or subscriptions are enabled later, deletion alone will not cancel a subscription or request a store refund; the app and store must explain the applicable process. If you only want to stop sharing your vehicle, turn visibility off instead.
